This course will present ventricular ectopy versus aberrant ventricular conduction and QT interval monitoring. ECG recognition, causes, and clinical implications will be discussed.
Please BRING CALIPERS!
Course Objectives:
- Define aberrant ventricular conduction.
- List diagnostic clues for aberration and for ventricular ectopy.
- Distinguish aberrancy from ventricular ectopy on rhythm strips.
- Measure the QT interval on the rhythm strips.
- Discuss clinical situations that may lead to QT prolongation and risk factors for Torsades de Pointes.
