Donate Blood   Blood donors provide a lifesaving gift to those in need. Approximately 60% of the U.S. population is eligible to give blood, but only 5% of the population gives. More donors are needed to keep up with an increasing need for blood.   The hospitals of Cottage Health System receive their blood supply from United Blood Services, Central Coast, a not-for-profit community service. All blood donated at United Blood Services stays local to help area residents in times of crisis. Every day, 150 people in our community need a blood transfusion. Please consider becoming a regular blood donor. It's an act of kindness which is convenient, safe, and only takes about 30 minutes of your time.
