Cottage Children's Hospital Announces New Leadership Roles
In accordance with the growth of Cottage Children's Hospital and with Cottage Health System's ongoing commitment to the children of the Central Coast region -- including CCH's expanding list of subspecialty physician partners, growing array of specialized pediatric services, and plan to construct a state-of-the-art, centralized Cottage Children's Hospital facility -- CCH is proud to announce appointments to two new leadership positions for 2009.
Dr. Steven Barkley has been appointed Chairman of Cottage Children's Hospital Strategic Advisory Committee. This new multidisciplinary committee will serve in an advocacy role, helping the CHS Board of Directors and administration shape CCH's future and implement strategic initiatives. Dr. Barkley will continue to serve the babies of our community as he has for more than 20 years as medical director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, along with associate medical director Dr. Barbara Donnelly.
Dr. Curtis Pickert has been appointed Chief of Medical Services for Cottage Children's Hospital. In this role Dr. Pickert will serve as the hospital's lead physician partner for hospital-wide clinical advancement and planning, ensuring CCH is at the forefront of quality patient care. Dr. Pickert will continue serving as medical director for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and acute pediatrics unit.
