Cottage Introduces New Chief Medical Officer
Long-time local cardiologist and physician leader Dr. Ed Wroblewski stepped into a new role this spring as Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for Cottage Health System. As such, he is providing liaison between hospital administration and the medical staff, sharing the challenges and perspectives of each in caring for patient sand running a busy hospital, and working to see that each understands the other’s needs and the common goal of providing outstanding service and high quality care for our community.

Dr. Edmund Wroblewski

During his career in Santa Barbara, Dr. Wroblewski has effectively served the medical staff and Cottage Health System in numerous capacities, including as Chief of Staff for Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Chief of the CCU, Chair of the Department of Cardiology, and more recently, President of the Board of Directors of the Cottage Center for Advanced Imaging.
A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Council of Clinical Cardiology, and a Member of the American Society of Cardiovascular Interventionists, Dr. Wroblewski is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He began his cardiology practice in Santa Barbara in 1981 and has been a member of the Cottage medical staff since then.
