On the Road to Recovery from IBD

Young patient donates $100 to CCH in thanks for the care she received

Dear Cottage Hospital,

My name is Ava Morouse. I am 11 years old. I was recently diagnosed with a disease called Inflammatory Bowel Disease, so I have been spending a lot of time in the pediatric section of Cottage Hospital lately.

In November, my doctor, Dr. Kelts, had me fast for 2 days and had me go in for an endoscopy. As soon as I got there and until I left, I was surrounded by nice and loving employees and loving faces. At first, I was scared. But after some encouraging words from my nurses Tera and her friend, I was not scared any more, but excited. Overall, the experience was great, and I thank you for all of your loving and kind employees and the loving environment that you provide for every patient who visits the hospital.

All of the money in the check enclosed is money that I have been saving from my allowance ever since the endoscopy. It is pretty much my thank-you present to you. I love you all and I thank you so much for all you have done and how much you have helped me and are helping me on the road to recovery.

Many Thanks,

Ava Morouse
