Spring 2012

Dear Physician Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to present to you the first Cottage Children’s Hospital magazine, a biannual publication that will enable you to meet our physicians and learn more about our clinical programs. In this inaugural edition, you will hear from three of our pediatric specialty physicians regarding interesting patients or elements of their practice. Dr. Tamir Keshen discusses minimally invasive surgery and management of the pectus deformity. Dr. Cristina Candido-Vitto describes an interesting pediatric endocrinology case, and Dr. Rick Lehman reveals two examples of advanced technology currently in use in the CCH pediatric intensive care unit.

It is my sincere hope that you find this publication both educational and informative regarding the programs and people who make up the Cottage Children’s Hospital.

On an ongoing basis you will hear from our other physician sub-specialists, as well as members of our pediatric care team. Our goal is to serve the children and families of the Central Coast and surrounding areas by providing an environment of highly skilled, compassionate care, delivered by the most comprehensive multi-disciplinary pediatric team in the region.

I hope you will take an opportunity to enjoy this publication, and to call us any time we can be of service to you and the children to whom you provide care.

Curt
